Keepr's Pond used to feed the ironworks at Garnddyrus just
below it on the hill. Garnddyrus was where al the action took place in Alexander Cordell's story of the Industrial revolution 'Rape of the Fair Country'. Despite the obvious beauty inthe area, living there in those times would have been tough in the extreme. Why Keaper's Pond? because after Garnddyrus was abandoned, a gamekeeper's lodge was built by the side of the lake.
